Job summary

Misfits Market is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead quality, safety, and compliance on the warehouse floor, championing SQF programs and FSMA standards.

You will mentor QA/QC and sanitation teams, drive continuous improvement, analyze defect data, and collaborate with suppliers and operations to ensure regulatory compliance.

This role combines hands-on leadership with data-driven oversight, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
• 2–5 years in QA, CI, or Process Engineering in manufacturing or food production.
• Strong data analysis and SPC skills.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt a plus).
• FDA PCQI, USDA-AMS & FSIS, GFSI SQF knowledge.
• Spanish language skills strongly preferred.
• Supplier management experience.
• OSHA and safety management experience.
• Excellent communication translating technical concepts to floor staff.
• Ability to spend 50% of time on the warehouse floor.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements Quality and Food Safety policies and programs.
• Leads QA/QC & Sanitation Technicians to ensure SQF compliance.
• Collects, analyzes, and summarizes data to monitor KPIs and drive improvements.
• Builds and coaches a culture of safety and accountability on the floor.
