Tyson Foods is hiring for an entry-level general labor position. The role focuses on maintaining safety, performing required tasks, and supporting production during a 6am–6pm schedule with Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and every other Wednesday shifts. Candidates should expect a physically demanding environment and the potential for varied tasks as needed.

Starting pay is $19.35 per hour. The job requires basic reading of invoices and packing slips, legible handwriting, and readiness to learn.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 months of working history with one employer listed on the application.
• Prefer 3 months of operator experience.
• All applicants must complete the final task that is separate from the application.
• If your application has not been fully submitted, you will need to complete any task that are awaiting.
• ALL INTERNAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED FIRST

Responsibilities

• The floor operator visually inspects all floor equipment and makes adjustments when needed.
• Monitors the product throughout the processing phase.
• Operates meat side equipment and ensures proper operation.
• Maintains and operates equipment to provide a quality product for our customer.
• Reads invoices, packing slips, and records of materials; possesses Tyson paperwork skills.
• Willing to work on your feet for 12 hours and complete training as required.
• Exposed to warm/cold temperatures, wet, humid, dusty conditions; lifts up to 70 pounds frequently.
