Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an Adjunct Test Technician I to test firearms, prepare basic test reports, and support QA in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role leverages prior firearms experience and technical knowledge to evaluate products per established testing standards.

The position is non-exempt under FLSA, with regular on-site work and a focus on safety, 5S standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of experience in using and maintaining firearms.
Experience handling a wide variety of firearms (handguns, rifles, shotguns, and automatic weapons).
Pistol, rifle, and shotgun training certifications from a recognized firearms academy preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely handle all types of firearms and equipment.
Safely and effectively operate test equipment according to manuals, work instructions, or industry standards.
Follow simple documented test plans to execute testing of firearms, ammunition, or accessories as assigned.
Engage in Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
