Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an Adjunct Test Technician I to test firearms and prepare basic test reports.

This role leverages prior firearms experience and technical knowledge to evaluate firearms products in accordance with established testing standards and procedures. You will operate test equipment, follow test plans, and participate in continuous improvement while maintaining safety and ISO procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in using and maintaining firearms.
• Experience with handling a wide variety of firearms including handguns, rifles, shotguns and automatic weapons.
• Pistol, rifle, and shotgun training certifications preferred.
• Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey information to others in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle all types of firearms and equipment.
• Safely and effectively operate test equipment according to manuals, work instructions, or industry standards.
• Follow simple documented test plans to execute testing of firearms, ammunition, or accessories as assigned.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
• Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
• Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
• Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
