Job summary

Wendy's is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for its restaurant locations in the Virginia Beach market. The role focuses on field-based problem solving and partnering with Operations to ensure safe, efficient restaurant operation.

You will perform diagnostics on HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment, determine when to repair in-house or via approved vendors, and manage preventive maintenance programs using Corrigo or similar systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities, maintenance, or technical experience (restaurant or multi-unit preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands‑on repairs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within the Virginia Beach area.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for HVAC systems.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for refrigeration systems.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for kitchen equipment.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for basic electrical and plumbing systems.
• Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.
