Job summary

RenewCO2 seeks a Facilities Manager to own the physical plant, from building systems to pilot equipment. You will respond to chiller trips, coordinate contractors, and shape preventive maintenance strategies in a small, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations, maintaining HVAC and lab infrastructure, and overseeing safety compliance and vendor records. The role requires independence and strong organizational habits.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of facilities, building maintenance, lab operations, or industrial/plant maintenance.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of HVAC and building mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with plumbing and low-voltage electrical work.
• Willingness to learn new building systems on the job.
• Experience coordinating and supervising outside contractors and service vendors.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a lab/pilot environment with chemicals and gases.
• Strong organizational habits and maintenance scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day building operations for lab, pilot, and office space.
• Maintain HVAC, exhaust, ventilation, and process utility systems.
• Perform maintenance on lab and pilot equipment and coordinate external service.
• Scope, quote, schedule, and supervise contractor work; enforce safety compliance.
• Support lab safety programs and waste coordination.
• Maintain service agreements, inventory, and equipment records.
• Assist with capital and buildout projects alongside engineering staff.
