Job summary

The Miami HEAT Engineering department is hiring an Engineering Helper to oversee the maintenance, operation, and repair of furniture, fixtures, basic electrical items, etc. Performs skilled and semi-skilled duties, including painting, carpentry, minor electrical work, plumbing, and welding.

Qualifications

Certificate or structured training in a mechanical trades track.
Experience with basic maintenance tasks across trades is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance, operation and repair of furniture, fixtures and basic electrical items.
Perform skilled and semi-skilled duties including painting, carpentry, plumbing and welding.
Assist with repairs to bowls seating, doors, locks, windows and hardware.
Follow preventive maintenance and energy management programs and SOPs.
Record work performed and complete work orders in the system.
Operate light equipment such as scrubbing machines and pallet jacks.
Support other teams during event conversions as needed.
