Job summary

Providencehunterscreek is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director with routine repairs, preventive maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry tasks. The role includes work on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and requires hands-on use of tools and basic building maintenance.

Qualifications include reading and following instructions, basic math, and a willingness to work in a community setting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; one year related experience or training.
HVAC certification a plus.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Assist with repair or replacement of defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
Assist in routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment and building systems functioning.
Use common tools and testing devices for maintenance tasks.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, plumbing, machinery, or equipment as needed.
Dismantle devices to access defective parts using hoists and tools.
Paint roofs, walls, and structural surfaces as required.
Maintain and repair specialized community equipment and machinery.
Provide grounds keeping services and minor landscaping tasks.
Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties.
Apply cleaning solvents and repair structures or wooden frameworks.
Install locks, hinges, or finish hardware.
Support other areas of the community (e.g., driving the bus, dining) as needed.
