Job summary

Baylands Development Company in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee day-to-day facility maintenance, lead a small team of technicians and vendors, and improve preventative maintenance programs.

This working supervisor role combines field work with planning and execution, requiring strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems, experience with building automation systems (BMS), and the ability to manage work orders and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building maintenance or facilities.
• Experience with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with building automation systems (BMS) and preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee routine maintenance and repairs across buildings and systems.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
• Monitor work orders and ensure timely completion.
• Manage procurement and budgeting for maintenance materials.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies.
