Job summary

Indium Corporation in Clinton, NY is seeking an Engineering Technician I to provide hands-on technical support to engineering and systems functions during design, development, assembly and test phases of process equipment and instrumentation. You will assist with assembly, testing, documentation, data collection for ROI and process improvements, and collaborate with teammates on projects.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, with 2 years related experience; associates preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• 2 years of related experience; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• Hands on mechanical knowledge is a must.
• Experience with design applications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering staff during the assembly, test and qualification of equipment, instrumentation, tooling, etc.
• Prepare simple assembly drawings, equipment/floor layouts, specifications, training documentation and procedures from hand sketches.
• Utilize standard test equipment and gauges to evaluate and document performance of components and systems.
• Gather data for ROI, process efficiency and improvement, and tolerancing studies.
• Provide hands-on assembly, troubleshooting and repair of components and final systems.
• Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
