Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling, LLC seeks an Engineering Technician in Oklahoma City to plan, lay out, assemble, modify, validate, and maintain test equipment, reading blueprints and drawings. You will assist engineers operating test equipment, collect data, troubleshoot issues, prepare schematics for electrical and HVAC systems, and support production with documentation and process improvements.

A technical certification and hands-on shop experience are required.

Qualifications

• Certification from technical or trade school.
• 5+ years of progressive technical production experience in a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day coordination of activities for your specific areas or segments under your responsibility.
• Create OMS for multiple products.
• Implement and improve standard operating procedures under engineering direction.
• Eliminate unnecessary work and improve production floor efficiency via time studies.
• Provide prototype documentation and build support.
• Provide production line support under guidance of engineering.
• Maintain pricing structures to meet policies and expectations.
• Implement new processes on new and custom build products.
• Support new product lines and updates to current production lines.
• Develop goals and realistic schedules with deadlines.
• Track team performance and drive growth.
