Job summary

Textron’s Bell division is seeking a 2027 Summer Engineering Intern in Johnson City, TN. You will gain hands-on experience on real projects alongside experienced professionals to develop skills and prepare for your career in aerospace engineering.

As an intern you will assist engineers, use CAD/CAE for drawings and analyses, perform secondary research, and help lead prototype testing, while gaining mentorship and opportunities to contribute to meaningful programs.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher with a major in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 60 college credit hours completed by the start of the internship (June 1, 2026) or prior Bell internship experience.
• Able to complete the entire 10 weeks of the internship: June 1– August 7, 2026.
• 3.0 GPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers via hands-on engineering and design of new products.
• Use CAD/CAE for engineering drawings and/or analysis of new products.
• Perform secondary research in the successful resolution of engineering problems.
• Lead manufacture and performance test of engineering prototypes.
