Job summary

Sanford Regional Technical Center in Sanford, ME seeks an Engineering & Architectural Design Instructor to lead a two-year, hands-on program where students master tools used by working engineers and designers.

You’ll guide first- and second-year students through CAD, 3D printing, and industry-standard software, building a portfolio and earning SolidWorks, Revit, and Additive Manufacturing certifications. Partnerships with local firms will bring real-world projects into the classroom.

Qualifications

• Maine Certification #852 and CHRC (criminal history records check/fingerprinting) required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant education or industry experience in Drafting and Design Technology.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks (or demonstrated willingness to build skills quickly).
• Ability to teach equipment operation, industry practices, and prepare students for certification exams.
• Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous record-keeping habits.
• An energetic, positive presence with outstanding communication—you make people want to be in the room.
• A genuine talent for building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and community partners.
• Strong classroom management skills and a collaborative spirit committed to student success.
• A deep passion for preparing young people to succeed in engineering and architectural design careers.
