You'll guide first- and second-year students to develop portfolios, earn SolidWorks and Revit certifications, and collaborate with local firms to connect classroom learning with real-world practice.

Qualifications

• Maine Certification #852 and CHRC required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant education or industry experience in Drafting and Design Technology.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks (or willingness to build skills quickly).
• Ability to teach equipment operation, industry practices, and prepare students for certification exams.
• Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous record-keeping habits.
• Energetic, positive presence with outstanding communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a two-year, hands-on program to develop skills used by working engineers and designers.
• Inspire students through project-based learning using 2D/3D CAD, 3D printing, and blueprints.
• Forge partnerships with local firms, studios, and manufacturers to bring real-world projects into the classroom.
• Guide students to earn internationally recognized certifications (SolidWorks, Revit) and build a portfolio.
