Siemens Healthineers is offering an Embedded Software Engineering Co-op in Illinois. You will develop embedded software for motion control and detector subsystems, write code in C/C++/Python, perform testing and documentation, and collaborate with firmware and electrical engineers.

The role seeks students enrolled in Electrical Engineering, CS, or CE programs with a 3.0 GPA preferred and availability for a co-op term. Duration and rotations may vary, with a mix of class and summer work.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• GPA 3.0 preferred.
• Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your university.

Responsibilities

• May be involved in all aspects of embedded systems development, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation of the motion control and detector subsystems.
• Write and test embedded software, execute written test procedures, document results, and recognize/isolate system anomalies.
• Coop will work with firmware and electrical engineers for the motion control and detector subsystems, and assist with development and test.
• Provide support for system host emulator, as well as assist in loading software in the lab.
