Job summary

Cache Valley Electric is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in electrical construction and project management. You will work with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field teams on active projects and learn the full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout.

Qualifications

• Interest in electrical construction and project management.
• Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
• Exposure to software such as Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, Revit or similar programs.
• Coursework related to construction management, estimating, scheduling, engineering, or PM.
• Previous electrical construction experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with day-to-day project activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
• Assist with preparing, tracking, and maintaining RFIs and submittals.
• Coordinate project documentation between office and field.
• Assist with material and equipment procurement, tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Participate in project planning, coordination, and progress meetings.
• Learn project costs, budgets, change orders, and forecasts.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and estimating tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Visit active construction areas to observe field operations.
• Follow safety requirements.
