Job summary

Cache Valley Electric invites motivated students to join the Project Engineer Intern program in Salt Lake City, UT, for Summer 2027. You will work with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams on active electrical construction projects.

You’ll learn project lifecycle elements such as planning, scheduling, procurement, cost tracking, documentation, safety, and closeout while gaining exposure to field operations and sites.

Qualifications

• Previous construction, engineering, or internship experience.
• Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
• Exposure to construction software such as Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with day-to-day project activities.
• Work closely with project management, field supervision, and other team members.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
• Assist with RFIs and submittals.
• Coordinate project documentation between office and field.
• Support material and equipment procurement and delivery coordination.
• Participate in project planning, coordination, and progress meetings.
