Job summary

Cache Valley Electric offers a 2027 Summer Project Engineer Internship for students eager to learn electrical construction and project management. You will work with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents and field teams on active projects, gaining practical hands-on experience.

The role covers preconstruction, planning, scheduling, cost tracking, field coordination and safety, with exposure to meetings, RFIs, submittals and vendor coordination. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous construction, engineering, or internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with day‑to‑day project activities.
• Work closely with project management, field supervision, and other members of the project team.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
• Assist with preparing, tracking, and maintaining RFIs and submittals.
• Help coordinate project documentation between the office and field.
• Assist with material and equipment procurement, tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Participate in project planning, coordination, and progress meetings.
• Gain exposure to project schedules and assist with tracking project milestones and deadlines.
• Learn how project costs, budgets, change orders, and forecasts are managed.
