Heritage Health Care Center in Nortonville, KS seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations in a 45-bed skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, building a strong nursing team, and improving outcomes for residents with complex medical and behavioral health needs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead in a changing environment.

Qualifications

• RN license (Kansas) required.
• Two or more years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and oversight of nursing operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the nursing leadership team and frontline staff.
• Assess residents' health needs and develop care plans.
• Ensure medications and physician orders are followed.
• Monitor residents' conditions and communicate changes.
• Partner with Administrator and interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes.
• Ensure clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
