Job summary

Pit Stop Stores in South Dakota seeks a motivated District Manager to oversee Pierre and Mobridge locations, lead store teams, and drive daily operations with a hands-on approach.

You will partner with Store Managers and company leadership to ensure staffing, customer focus, and financial performance, visiting stores regularly, coaching staff, reviewing schedules, labor costs, inventory, and store standards to raise profitability and the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to Store Managers and their teams
• Recruit, interview, hire, and develop strong employees and managers
• Maintain staffing levels and assist with recruiting needs
• Visit assigned locations and maintain a strong in-store presence
• Review scheduling, labor costs, and overtime
• Monitor sales, gross profit, expenses, inventory, and store performance
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability with leadership
• Develop and implement action plans when stores are not meeting expectations
• Monitor inventory controls, shortages, shrink, and cash-handling procedures
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently
• Oversee customer service, merchandising, cleanliness, food-service operations, and store standards
• Assist with employee relations and performance management
• Ensure reports, inventory counts, and paperwork are completed timely
• Assist with vendor, maintenance, and equipment issues
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve customer experience
• Follow through on issues to ensure resolution
