Job summary

Deque Systems, Inc. is seeking a Director of Technical Operations to own and hands-on manage the infrastructure powering our SaaS products. You will lead a small operations team, ensuring 99.99% uptime, implementing Terraform-based pipelines, and driving reliability across AWS and on-premise deployments.

The role emphasizes ownership, incident leadership, and a path to modernize tooling, governance, and AI-assisted operations while maintaining security and compliance posture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure, SRE, or IT operations with growing responsibility.
• Deep hands-on AWS experience (last 18–24 months).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Strong CI/CD and automation experience.
• Experience with GDPR obligations.

Responsibilities

• Own product infrastructure and reliability in AWS production.
• Lead incident response and postmortems with blameless culture.
• Oversee disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning.
• Manage AWS cost visibility and savings initiatives.
• Direct the systems operations team across multiple locations.
