Job summary

The Data Governance Lead at AHEAD will build and run governance for the Data Platform Team—hands-on, not a policy committee. You will define standards and implement them: catalog, lineage, quality checks, access policy at platform level, and governance into every data product before publish.

Reporting to the Director, Data Platform, you will lead a small governance function over time, collaborate with security, risk, and architecture, and drive KPIs on stewardship, data quality, and policy

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data governance, data platform engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Hands-on experience implementing governance in a modern cloud data platform.
• 3+ years in a leadership role with governance programs.
• Experience configuring Snowflake governance controls (RBAC, masking, etc.).
• Experience with data catalogs, lineage tools, and schema contracts.

Responsibilities

• Platform governance execution — define and build governance for the data platform.
• Standards, operating model, and policy development and enforcement.
• Cross-functional partnership and enablement with engineering, security, risk, and architecture.
• Team leadership, building a governance function over time.
• Education and experience development for governance programs and practices.
