Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking a full-time faculty member for the Department of Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing and Networking. The college emphasizes applied, hands-on learning across cybersecurity, cloud, networking, and related IT fields, with opportunities to teach in-person or online across multiple campuses.

Responsibilities include developing labs, integrating AI-enabled tools, and advising students on career and transfer pathways.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Networking, or a closely related field.
• Teaching, training, and/or professional experience sufficient to demonstrate effective instruction in cybersecurity, cloud computing, networking, IT, or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise across department areas including cybersecurity and network security; cloud computing and infrastructure; computer networking; systems administration; virtualization and hybrid infrastructure; cyber operations and digital forensics; scripting, automation, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Experience developing, configuring, or using hands-on laboratory activities or technology-based learning environments.
• Working knowledge of operating systems, hardware, networking technologies, and information security principles.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and advanced courses in cybersecurity, cloud computing, networking, and related IT disciplines using hands-on, interdisciplinary approaches.
• Develop laboratory-based learning experiences using current technologies, platforms, tools, and virtual environments.
• Integrate emerging technologies into curriculum, including AI-enabled tools, automation, cloud security, DevSecOps, and infrastructure as code.
• Teach in multiple modalities including face-to-face, online, remote, hybrid, evening, and weekend formats.
• Advise and mentor students on academic progress, career pathways, internships, scholarships, and certifications.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment, program review, and alignment with industry standards.
