Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer-Technical Lead to protect customer information systems and networks. The role blends hands-on engineering (≈75%) with technical leadership across the security team in a DevSecOps lifecycle.

The candidate should have expertise with firewalls, VPNs, DLP, IDS/IPS, web proxies, security tools, and audits, and hold an active TS/SCI clearance. Strong automation and production‑grade security experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required with 15+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
• Experience implementing and managing SIEM and security technologies in production
• Strong hands-on engineering and technical leadership
• Familiarity with DevSecOps lifecycle and blue-team operations

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security controls and tools used to protect enterprise systems and networks
• Design, configure, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint tools, SIEM platforms
• Formulate systems and methodologies and respond to security events and incidents
• Participate in change management to ensure security compliance
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams
• Serve as escalation point for complex security issues and guide junior engineers
