Job summary

Lunch Bunch is seeking a Level 1 Enrichment Teacher to lead hands-on culinary activities after school. You will collaborate with fellow teachers to deliver engaging cooking classes, prepare materials, and support students in a structured learning environment focused on cooking and life skills.

This part-time role requires reliable, proactive individuals who can manage groups, adapt to a fast-paced setting, and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a leadership, instructional, or support role.
• Ability to manage and engage a group of students in an active, hands-on environment.
• Strong communication skills and high reliability.
• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continuously improve.
• Must pass a background check and LiveScan; TB clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Review lesson plans weekly in advance.
• Watch weekly training videos.
• Attend pre-semester teacher trainings.
• Communicate proactively with Enrichments Manager when support is needed.
• Prepare classroom materials and food efficiently.
• Distribute materials before class ends.
• Manage student behavior and classroom flow.
• Teach kitchen safety and basic cooking skills.
• Report incidents using incident reports.
• Submit feedback after each class.
