Job summary

Fortis Construction, Inc. is offering a Project Engineering Intern position intended to expose students to on-site construction management.

Interns will shadow project engineers, observe daily field operations, and contribute to project tasks under close supervision. As an intern you will coordinate with the design team, subcontractors, and inspectors, while developing procurement, documentation, RFI, and meeting-minutes skills essential for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled as a college student.
• Strong technical and organizational skills and professional communication.
• High integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Word).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between subcontractors, design team, inspectors and project manager.
• Own specific scopes from drawings issued to turnover.
• Assist procurement, document control, RFIs, change orders, contracts administration, safety auditing, and field coordination.
• Support project team relationships with owners, vendors, and stakeholders.
