Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Compressor Support Engineer in Quincy, IL. You will be the mechanical authority behind our air systems, solving complex issues and driving uptime by providing practical guidance to field teams and customers.

This hands-on role requires 5+ years in mechanical/industrial work and troubleshooting experience, with a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Onsite travel is under 10% and the pay range reflects market levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of mechanical/industrial experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on troubleshooting industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Acquire subject matter expertise in assigned air products and maintain expertise for training and support on new product development teams.
• Provide technical support for field organizations and customers via phone, email, and on-site visits.
• Support channel field technicians to resolve complex product and system issues.
• Troubleshoot and load quality/reliability issues into QRMSa.
• Create technical bulletins, fault trees, and troubleshooting guides for field personnel.
