Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• 3D CAD modeling and software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support hardware architecture design, including component sizing and selection, in contributing to development and/or validation of complex mechatronic systems (e.g., selection of micro-processors, sensors, actuators, DAQ devices, signal processing circuits for HiL test environments)
• Perform data analysis in supporting system characterization/modeling, continuous improvement efforts, calibration, triage and validation activities
• Develop (i.e., architect, design, implement, validate, and parameterize) algorithms to enable intended system function in coordination with stakeholder and application requirements
• Interfacing teams – effectively communicate with these cross functional teams in order to effectively complete assigned tasks
• Need to be responsible, able to work independently, and open to instruction
• S/he will be given developmental opportunities through tasks such as projects, job-rotation, hands-on training, and exposure to Schaeffler's technological processes
