Job summary

DATA Foundation is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to own and strengthen security across PIP Labs' cloud environment, endpoints and internal systems, while supporting related companies. You will balance day-to-day security operations with automation to scale across a globally distributed environment.

You will secure AWS with some Google Cloud exposure, manage endpoint protection (CrowdStrike, Jamf), and contribute fixes with infrastructure and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud security, IT security or a related role.
• Strong practical knowledge of AWS security—IAM, logging, monitoring, secure config.
• Experience operating endpoint protection and device-management tooling (CrowdStrike, Jamf preferred).
• Track record of automating workflows via scripting, APIs or security orchestration.
• Comfort balancing hands-on IT tasks with security engineering responsibilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English for cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day security operations across PIP Labs and related companies, including monitoring, alert triage, incident response and remediation.
• Secure and administer AWS environment with some exposure to Google Cloud; improve cloud security posture.
• Manage endpoint security and device controls using tools like CrowdStrike and Jamf.
• Automate recurring security and IT workflows to scale controls across multiple companies.
• Partner with infrastructure and engineering teams to identify risks, improve configurations and ship fixes; contribute code or PRs where appropriate.
• Own dependency hygiene and software supply chain security, vetting third-party code and monitoring for compromise.
• Support identity, access, device and internal IT security needs for a globally distributed team.
• Develop and maintain clear security procedures, playbooks and documentation.
• Help assess and strengthen how sensitive datasets are ingested, stored, accessed and protected across the DATA Network ecosystem.
• Contribute to security readiness in a high-threat environment against credential theft and targeted attacks.
