W3Global partners with a growing California litigation firm actively hiring Associate Attorneys to join its insurance defense and public entity defense practice. This role offers hands-on litigation exposure early, including hearings, depositions, and drafting motions, with meaningful exposure to case strategy from the outset.

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar license and good standing.
• Genuine interest in civil litigation and trial work.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to analyse complex legal and factual issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with trial attorneys.
• Willingness to appear in court and participate in depositions.
• Ability to manage a litigation caseload and meet billing expectations.

Responsibilities

• Appear in state and federal courts throughout California.
• Participate in hearings and depositions shortly after joining.
• Conduct legal research and develop substantive legal analysis.
• Draft motions, discovery responses, pleadings, memoranda and other litigation documents.
• Assist with preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations and other litigation events.
• Contribute to case strategy and analytical development.
• Work with trial attorneys while developing responsibility and independence.
• Meet billing expectations and manage time entries.
