Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern in Bozeman, MT to support our Civil Engineering team on real client projects. This in-person internship will help you design roadway, drainage, water, sewer, and land development systems while building foundational engineering knowledge.

You will produce AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting, assist with quantities takeoffs and estimates, and research jurisdictional criteria for planning and engineering.

Qualifications

• Completion of 3+ years of a civil engineering or related undergraduate program
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Bluebeam
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with team members across disciplines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineers in the design and plan production of roadway, grading and drainage, water, sewer, pavement, land development, and erosion control systems
• Assist with civil engineering calculations for site and infrastructure design
• Learn and apply AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting and design
• Assist with quantities takeoffs and cost estimating
• Research and apply jurisdictional criteria for planning and engineering projects
• Attend site visits before and during construction with project leads
• Gain exposure to the variety of project types and teams across the firm
