Job summary

Arriva offers a four-year Apprenticeship for a Bus Technician at the Dartford depot. You will inspect, diagnose, repair and test bus systems from different manufacturers under the guidance of an experienced team, gaining hands-on practice and a recognised Level 3 qualification.

You must have GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grace C/Level 3 minimum. Apprentices earn weekly wages: under 18 £8, 18–20 £10.85, 21+ £12.71, rising with progress through the course.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grace C / Level 3 as a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and test equipment and systems on buses from different manufacturers.
• Work with an experienced team to develop skills and knowledge.
• Follow health and safety practices and quality standards.
• Assist with roadworthiness inspections and routine maintenance.
