Job summary

INDEPENDENT PRINTING & PACKAGING is seeking a Machine Finishing Assistant to support post-press operations. You will assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of bindery equipment in folder production, coordinating with machine operators to meet production goals.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to learn new equipment quickly, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, and a competitive hourly wage is offered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with make-ready, setup, and operation of bindery and finishing equipment to support production goals.
• Review job tickets to understand job specifications, quantities, stock requirements, and special instructions.
• Assist machine operators with equipment adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Monitor finished products for quality and promptly report defects or inconsistencies.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production standards and procedures.
• Assist with routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving stock and finished products.
