Job summary

Coreshell Technologies, in San Leandro, CA, seeks a Battery Technician - Cell Development to fabricate developmental electrodes and cells, and perform electrochemical tests to provide data for advancing next-generation battery chemistries.

The role requires hands-on work in a dry-room/glovebox environment, meticulous record-keeping, and strict safety practices. Bachelor’s in Chemistry/Mater. Science or related field preferred; 1–3 years lab experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on experience in battery, electrochemistry, or materials lab (internship acceptable).
• Proficiency in electrode coating, calendering, and cell assembly (coin, pouch, or cylindrical).
• Familiarity with battery cyclers (Arbin, Maccor, BioLogic) and basic test setup.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate developmental electrodes: slurry prep, coat, calender to target density, cut, weigh, and inspect per specs.
• Assemble coin, pouch, and small-format cylindrical cells in dry-room/glovebox with electrolytes.
• Set up, run, and monitor electrochemical test programs on battery cyclers.
• Maintain lab equipment, inventories, and meticulous notebooks; follow safety protocols.
• Keep lab spaces clean and organized and document procedures.
