Job summary

CX2 seeks an Avionics Systems Integration Engineer to own integration, verification, and readiness of avionics for advanced unmanned aircraft. This hands-on role unites flight-critical hardware, mission systems, sensors, payloads, and software into aircraft ready for ground and flight testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years in avionics integration or aerospace systems engineering.
• Experience with aircraft electrical systems and avionics architectures.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of hardware, electrical, networking, and software issues.
• Proficiency with Linux for configuration, diagnostics, and log analysis.
• Experience with IP networking (Ethernet, TCP/IP, routing, VLANs).
• Familiarity with avionics protocols CAN, MAVLink, ARINC 429, RS-232/422/485, MIL-STD-1553.

Responsibilities

• Integrate avionics hardware, mission systems, sensors, and flight controls into unmanned aircraft.
• Bring-up, troubleshoot, and validate partial and complete avionics systems.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop, ground, and flight testing activities.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and integration issues.
• Configure Linux-based systems, mission computers, embedded devices, and networks.
• Develop and execute integration procedures, test plans, and verification activities.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, autonomy, and flight test teams.
