Job summary

TSC is seeking an avionics specialist in the United States to install and integrate avionics on production UAS, including wiring, tests, and documentation. The role requires hands-on testing and collaboration with multiple teams to enhance build quality and ensure regulatory compliance.

Applicants should have 3+ years of avionics experience, be a U.S. Person, and able to work in controlled environments with security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of avionics maintenance or integration experience (manned or unmanned aircraft).
• US Citizenship and ability to work in classified environments, including the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Strong knowledge of avionics systems, electrical theory, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience interpreting technical orders, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators).
• Experience with basic machine shop equipment (saws, drills, brakes, etc.).
• U.S. Person status required due to export control regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install and integrate avionics hardware/software on production UAS per instructions.
• Build and install wiring harnesses, LRUs, antennas, and sensors.
• Perform continuity checks, pinouts, insulation resistance testing, and system tests.
• Document results and production travelers; support FAI and quality reviews.
• Maintain compliance with ITAR/EAR, safety and security requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality, and supply chain to improve build quality.
