Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience developing embedded electronic systems for UAVs, robotics, autonomous systems, or similar applications.
  • Strong background in embedded software/firmware development and hardware/software integration.
  • Experience with real-time systems and low-level communications.
  • Familiarity with CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, MAVLink or similar interfaces.
  • Experience integrating sensors, actuators, avionics, and embedded controllers.
  • Knowledge of electromechanical systems and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Experience with UAV flight controllers and autopilot platforms (PX4, ArduPilot).
  • Hands-on experience testing, debugging, and validating integrated hardware/software systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic control architectures for UAV propulsion, flight control, and onboard systems.
  • Integrate flight controllers, engine management systems, sensors, interfaces, and avionics hardware.
  • Develop embedded software and firmware supporting control logic, telemetry, safety, and system communications.
  • Support system-level integration of electrical, software, and mechanical subsystems for advanced UAV platforms.
  • Configure and troubleshoot autopilot systems, onboard electronics, and communication networks.
  • Conduct hands-on testing, debugging, validation, and performance evaluation of integrated UAV systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system functionality, reliability, and performance targets.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture, interface definitions, test procedures, and workflows.
  • Participate in rapid prototyping and iterative product development in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with modeling, simulation, and validation of electromechanical systems before physical implementation.

An advanced engineering and propulsion technology company is seeking a UAV Electronic Systems Engineer to support the development of next-generation unmanned aerial vehicle platforms and integrated control systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on highly innovative propulsion, avionics, and embedded control technologies designed for demanding aerospace and autonomous system applications.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with experience developing and integrating embedded electronic systems for UAVs, robotics, or other autonomous platforms. This position combines systems engineering, embedded software, electronics integration, and real-world testing in a highly collaborative R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic control architectures for UAV propulsion, flight control, and onboard systems
  • Integrate flight controllers, engine management systems, sensors, communication interfaces, and avionics hardware
  • Develop embedded software and firmware supporting control logic, telemetry, safety functions, and system communications
  • Support system-level integration of electrical, software, and mechanical subsystems for advanced UAV platforms
  • Configure and troubleshoot autopilot systems, onboard electronics, and communication networks
  • Conduct hands-on testing, debugging, validation, and performance evaluation of integrated UAV systems
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure system functionality, reliability, and performance targets are achieved

  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, MAVLink, or similar interfaces
  • Experience integrating sensors, actuators, avionics systems, and embedded controllers
  • Knowledge of electromechanical systems and system-level troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience with UAV flight controllers and autopilot platforms such as PX4, ArduPilot, or related technologies
  • Hands-on experience testing, debugging, and validating integrated hardware/software systems
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D environment with evolving priorities and aggressive development timelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting UAV propulsion system integration
  • Familiarity with PCB design and electronic hardware development
  • Background in aerospace, defense, autonomous vehicles, or advanced robotics
