Continental Toyota is seeking an Apprentice or Semi Skilled Technician to develop practical automotive repair skills in a busy service department located in Hodgkins, IL. You will work alongside experienced technicians, learn diagnostic procedures, and gain hands-on experience with engine, electrical, and chassis systems.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications required or minimum 3 years experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic Computer Skills
• Positive, friendly attitude

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership procedures
• Assist Service Advisor in test-driving vehicles and testing components and systems using diagnostic tools
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and time estimates for repairs
• Execute repairs under manufacturer specifications, including warranty work
