Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Lincoln, NH, is seeking an Automation/Controls Technician to help build and service our custom automation equipment. You will work with engineers to translate designs into working assemblies, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of sophisticated automation systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on fabrication, machining, and electrical work. Candidates should have a strong mechanical background, experience with machine tools, and familiarity with PLC/robotic concepts.

Qualifications

Five or more years' experience in a mechanic/manufacturing/machinist environment or equivalent.
AS in engineering/technology would be a plus.
Ability to read models, drawings, sketches or descriptions in SolidWorks to build automation equipment.
Experience wiring and plumbing machines under guidance.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers and technicians to assemble, wire, plumb, test and repair custom automation equipment.
Interpret designs and move projects from drawings to working hardware.
Manage materials, verify dimensions, alignments and clearances.
Operate tools such as lathes, mills and welding equipment; participate in training for PLC/robotics.
