Job summary
McDaniel Supply Company in Jesup, GA is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in daily operations, focusing on receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, equipment operation, supervision, safety and logistics.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver who will train and empower the warehouse team, uphold safety and quality standards, and drive continual improvement in productivity and customer service across a fully on-site
Qualifications
- Experience in warehouses, distribution, or logistics operations.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or lead experience preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to learn and effectively use warehouse management and inventory systems.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely after training.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and coordinating daily warehouse operations.
- Learn all major warehouse functions to gain comprehensive understanding.
- Assign work, coordinate priorities, and adjust workflow as needed.
- Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to warehouse staff.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and cross-training.
- Maintain accurate receiving, inventory, shipping, and documentation.
