Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL is seeking a maintenance/prop fabrication assistant to support asset upkeep, use specialty tools, and assist with PM schedules, cleaning, and workspace prep. The role involves handling hand tools, pressure washers, ladders, forklifts, and other equipment while contributing to 5S housekeeping and safety.

A high school diploma or GED is required; trade school or an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year set/prop fabrication and maintenance or general shop work.
• Experience with tools and small equipment preferred.
• Equivalency of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and upkeep of assets using specialty tools and chemicals.
• Assist with PM schedules, assembly/disassembly of assets, waxing and cleaning.
• Operate hand tools, pressure washers, ladders and other equipment as directed.
• Maintain neat 5S areas and assist with organization of shop and tools.
• Request materials, track stock and communicate needs to Leads/Planners.
• Document activities in CMMS and assist with safety responsibilities.
