Job summary

AES Manufacturing in North Kansas City, MO is hiring Assembly Technicians to build complete safety equipment from painted metal parts, hardware, and other components. You will use hand and power tools and follow detailed assembly drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience with repairs, maintenance, handyman work, or other hands-on mechanical projects is valuable.
• Previous manufacturing assembly experience is helpful but not required.
• Hands-on training and all tools provided for the job.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complete products from start to finish using hand and power tools.
• Follow job travelers with parts lists, assembly drawings, and production times.
• Gather parts and materials for assigned jobs, using a forklift after training and authorization.
• Check parts and workmanship for fit, alignment, and proper operation.
• Report damaged or incorrect parts and make minor fit adjustments within training.
• Apply decals neatly in correct locations and palletize finished equipment for shipping.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety practices.
• Communicate shortages, quality concerns, and equipment problems promptly.
• Work toward expected production times while maintaining quality and safety.
