Job summary

Impact Electronic Solutions, Inc. in Clearwater, FL, is seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing for aerospace and defense assemblies.

You will own the production schedule, coach a 25-person team on the floor, and ensure on-time, defect-free output while maintaining AS9100D and IPC standards. The role blends hands-on leadership with schedule ownership, driving continuous improvement, cost control and safe operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Production Manager or in a comparable production leadership role in electronics manufacturing (EMS/CM preferred).
• Hands-on knowledge of SMT and through-hole PCBA, cable/harness and box-build processes.
• Experience with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Class 3 preferred).
• Experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Hands-on use of an ERP/MRP system for scheduling and labor reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily/weekly production schedules from released work orders and material availability.
• Load and balance work centers to optimize capacity and minimize WIP.
• Lead daily production meetings and drive recovery plans for bottlenecks and late orders.
• Maintain accurate work order status, labor reporting and inventory transactions.
• Coordinate new product introductions and engineering changes to ensure on-time first articles.
• Ensure work complies with IPC/AS9100/ISO standards and ITAR controls.
• Coach and develop production leads and technicians; maintain training and certification tracking.
• Drive lean, 5S, setup reduction and cost-control initiatives; monitor safety and incident prevention.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Materials, Programs, Engineering and Quality to keep orders flowing.
