Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Experience leading accounting staff.
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system.
• Agriculture/inventory-based industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in month-end and year-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee a four-person accounting team across AP/AR.
• Oversee grower accounting, settlements, and reporting with operations teams.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Partner with CFO on budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and analysis.
• Maintain internal controls and GAAP compliance.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and workflows.
• Utilize technology and automation to increase efficiency.
• Maintain accurate financial information in the ERP system.
