Job summary

Tory Burch in New York seeks an Associate Designer, Handbags to support the Accessories design team across multiple handbag families. You will work with Design leadership from concept through finalization, bringing strong visual and technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in handbag design, a fashion design degree, and expertise in Illustrator/Photoshop, CAD, and tech packs, plus a digital portfolio.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in handbag industry; luxury experience a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in fashion design or equivalent.
• High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong illustration, CAD, and spec'ing experience.
• Must build detailed, organized tech packs.
• Digital portfolio required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-season environment.

Responsibilities

• Work under the Sr. Designer and Design leadership to support elevated handbag designs and meet timelines.
• Develop and maintain seasonal design boards, concepts, and visual narratives.
• Produce sketches by hand and in Illustrator; create CADs and clear visuals.
• Create accurate tech packs in collaboration with leadership; ensure thorough construction details.
• Support PLM data entry and upkeep; keep design information organized.
• Prepare and manage samples and protos for internal reviews and line presentations.
• Track design updates and revisions across sketches, CADs and tech packs.
• Compile trend and competitive research; translate insights into Tory Burch ideas.
• Maintain organized files and seasonal archives to support workflow.
