Job summary

Centric Brands is seeking a talented Handbag Designer to join our design team in New York. You will translate style plans and emerging trends into market-ready concepts, collaborating with technical design, production, and external vendors to deliver compelling handbags on schedule.

Ideal candidates will have 4–7 years of handbag/accessories design experience, a fashion design degree, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, Microsoft Office, and Mac systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design.
• 4-7 years experience in handbag and accessories design.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, CAD and Mac computers.

Responsibilities

• Research trend directions and oversee development of initial seasonal design concepts.
• Create Illustrator sketches and approve specification sheets and line sheets, maintain design archives.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on product development and color/print decisions.
• Oversee fit process and ensure color standards and licensor directives are followed.
