Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy with hand/upper-extremity rehab.
• Knowledge of musculoskeletal, post-surgical, and neurologic upper-extremity rehab.
• Strong communication and accurate documentation skills.
• Experience or interest in pediatrics for upper-extremity injuries.
• Graduation from an accredited OT/PT program; NY licensure eligibility.
• CHT certification preferred or willingness to pursue specialty education.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and manage a varied caseload.
• Commitment to inclusive, patient-centered care and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans.
• Use appropriate modalities and exercises to restore function and reduce pain.
• Document care in the EHR and communicate with the care team.
• Educate patients and families on home programs and injury prevention.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality initiatives.
• Contribute to student or resident education as appropriate.
