Job summary

Marshall Health, in affiliation with Marshall University, seeks an Orthopaedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon to join as a faculty/attending physician. Duties include patient care, supervision of students, residents and fellows, and clinical instruction in hand and upper extremity surgery.

The role requires rounds participation and at least one Grand Rounds presentation per year, with weekly travel to affiliated outreach facilities across Cabell, Putnam and Kanawha counties in West Virginia.

Qualifications

• MD or professional equivalent degree in Medicine.
• Completion of 12 month fellowship in Hand & Microsurgery or Hand Surgery.
• West Virginia Medical License eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgical care as a faculty/attending physician.
• Provide supervision and clinical instruction to medical students, residents, and fellows in orthopaedic hand and upper extremities surgery related areas.
• Participate in rounds and present at one or more Medical Grand Rounds per year.
• Travel weekly (1-2 days) to affiliated outreach facilities in Cabell, Putnam and Kanawha counties.
