Job summary

Micro Quality Calibration (MQC) in Chatsworth is seeking an experienced Hand Tool Calibration/Repair Technician to calibrate and repair a range of precision tools, ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, and generate calibration reports.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work onsite from Monday to Friday with optional overtime. A valid US driver’s license and citizenship or permanent residency are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of repair and calibration of hand tools experience required.
• Military PMEL / TMDE / DOD training preferred.
• Experience working under ISO 17025 Quality Assurance preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing error-free work.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Outstanding organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Calibration and repair of tools (Digital and Dial Indicators, Digital and Dial Calipers, O.D/I.D. Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Height Masters, and Height Gauges, etc)
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision equipment.
• Identify and correct measurement errors.
• Prepare detailed calibration reports and certificates in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and collaborate with team on calibration procedures.
• Ensure all calibrations are performed in accordance with NIST traceable standards.
• Adapt existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements
• Maintain a safe work environment and troubleshoot equipment.
