Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd in Rome, Georgia is seeking a Hand Therapist (OT or PT) to provide evaluation and treatment for hand and upper-extremity injuries. You’ll help patients regain strength, mobility and independence while collaborating with a dedicated rehabilitation team.

The role involves developing personalized treatment plans, documenting progress, coordinating discharge, and ensuring safety. Licensure as GA Physical or Occupational Therapist and CHT certification are required or pursued; 5

Qualifications

• GA licensure for PT or OT required
• CHT certification encouraged/required
• Minimum 5 years of PT/OT experience with 4,000 hours in hand therapy
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops treatment plans for hand/upper-extremity conditions
• Plans discharge with home programs, family teaching, and referrals
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient care, progress, and statistics
• Manages insurance authorization and visit counts per guidelines
• Ensures clean, organized treatment areas and proper equipment handling
• Covers caseload and coordinates with site leadership for coverage
